As an international student, you’ll immediately feel at home on our 48-acre Newark campus, just 10 miles from the cultural abundance of New York City. NJIT ranks eighth in the nation for diversity, and its relatively small student body includes students from more than 100 different countries.
If you're a citizen of a foreign country and aren't living in the United States as a permanent resident, you should apply as an international student. If you're an international student transferring from another post-secondary institution, you'll need to fulfill both the requirements on this page and those for transfer students.

Additionally, NJIT’s Office of Student Global Initiatives will provide you with comprehensive ongoing assistance in all nonacademic matters, especially those related to maintaining valid visa status.
