After NJIT reviews all the required application documents, NJIT will mail you an acceptance letter and the DS-Form 2019. These documents will be used to obtain the J-1 visa at the U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country. Details about how to apply for a visa can be found here (scroll down the page).
Along with visa application fees, you will also be required to pay the SEVIS fee.
After you receive your acceptance letter, you can create your University Computing Identification (UCID). The UCID is your access to NJIT's computer services. You will need your NJIT Student ID number to create the UCID. Your NJIT Student ID number will be on your acceptance letter. Once you have your UCID, you can apply for on campus housing and select a meal plan.
It is highly recommended that you live in an NJIT residence hall due to convenience, safety, and community-building considerations. You are also permitted to live off campus. For information about on- and off-campus housing click here.
